Wishing the merriest Christmas to you and yours! This was a challenging year to be sure, but we believe that we can and should be filled with joy celebrating what God has done, and is continuing to do in HIStory, and in our stories!
Lately, there’s a song our children absolutely love called “It’s about the Cross.” Imagine these lyrics sung at top volume by an exuberant 2 and 4 year old…
“It’s about the cross, it’s about my sin, it’s about how Jesus came to be born once so that we could be born again. It’s about the stone that was rolled away, so that you and I could have real life someday, it’s about the cross!”
Wonderful, isn’t it? The verses talk about how it’s not about the baby in the manger, the shepherds, the star, the wise men, the presents or Christmas feelings. Those things are fine, good and worth talking about. But most important of all is what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Praise God! That He gave us our Savior on Christmas! And that’s why it’s a most merry Christmas of all! As we celebrate Jesus’s birthday this Christmas, we’re thanking the Lord for your presence in our lives. From our home to yours, blessings and joy to you this Christmas!
